At a time when life resumes in public places, around the world of deconfinement. In New Delhi, transport and shopping have resumed but for some professions, it is more complicated. This is the case of physiotherapists and osteopaths, who must follow draconian hygienic measures.
In India, New Delhi has slowly started its deconfinement. Most public transport works again, as do most shops, but certain professions are much more exposed, such as physiotherapists, who have to manipulate their patient's body. Some returned to work, but sometimes dressed in full equipment and with drastic hygiene measures.
Saif Hassan Naqvi, physiotherapist in southern New Delhi, puts on a full protective suit every morning. He also added shoe covers, a visor, glasses and a mask, as well as gloves. Between each patient, he also spends 15 minutes disinfecting the entire room with alcoholic product - from the floor where the person walked, to the surfaces, to the door handles and of course, his own suit. Dr. Naqvi then changes his gloves and the protection of the work table. The price of all this equipment has increased sharply lately (up to five times for gloves), due to the increase in demand, and it spends around 20 euros per day on this equipment. An amount that he recovers by increasing the price of his consultations.
